Run! CS’s on fire!
February 22, 2006 by jernehhong
At around 1:15pm, a colleage called to inform that a fire broke out from our next door building — Crowne Square. We thought that’d be another fire-alarm practice, yet, this time it wasn’t!!!
However, there’s no any chaos scenario happened. Staff from both buildings (Crowne Towers) evacuated safely. Everyone gathered outside the building waiting for the rescue to come.
Within 5 minutes, three fire-engines arrived at the scene followed by an ambulance and 2 fire service and rescue teams.
It was believed that the accumulated cooking-oil stuck at the vantilation system in the restaurant’s kitchen was the cause of the fire. No report of injury was reported so far.
It took more than 2 hours when everyone was finally allowed to get back to work! Alas!!
A glimpse into the building’s ground floor restaurant.
Clouds of black smoke belched from the building.
Crowds gathered around the scene.
Passers-by captured the "unforgetable" moment with their mobile phone built-in camera.
