Bako National Park

This is the 2nd day of AZAM course on "What can the media contribute to ESD", and all of us, including the speakers are glad that we don’t have to sit-in all day long but to have a field trip to the famous Bako National Park which is about 35KM away from the Kuching City.
Yes! Apart from attending a brief session of "get-to-know Bako NP" talk by its NP Manager — Mr. Siali, we went on the shortest jungle trekking trial(8km) among the 18 trails available for sea view or jungle view lovers. Nevertheless, it took us an hour to finish the same-what 30 minutes trial, as we stop now and then throughout the trial to get a glimpse of the Primate-Proboscis monkey and some rare rain-forest plants.
This is a female P-Probascis monkey, we spot a male PPM and his size is triple the size of a female and his tail is white in colour which is different from the female’s grey tail.
Of course, we won’t miss its landmark — "Sea Sticks" –we nicknamed it as the "Money Rock" as it’s making visitor’s money to feed the living of the local community. However, I must said that I’d have blame on myself if I’d missed this trip!!!
