MICSS

709 students and teachers from 47 Malaysian Chinese Independent Secondary Schools (MICSS) gathered at the State Stadium for the 8th MICSS Athletics Championship (MICSS AC) for its official opening ceremony yesterday.
(Above pix — 400 meters run, men category. Below 2nd pix, two Red Crescent members carried an exhausted participant to their resting booth.)
The MICSS AC is held once every 3 years but I don’t ever recall if I’ve participated in any of the game during my secondary school days. Nevertheless, a visit to the stadium this morning certainly brought back lots of precious memories of the good old days as I caught sight of the Red Crescent team. They’re basically doing what I did a decade ago but with the help of modern technology students today are more high-tech compared to our era.
Apart from that, I met some teachers and schoolmates who have also become teachers — most of them still look the same as ten years ago — well don’t get me wrong, it’s a compliment! They look young and energetic as I last saw them!! Anyway, I have taken quite a number of photos and the "last photo" displayed on this blog is my favourite.
