S’wak Bonsai Exhibition

The Sarawak Bonsai Association (SBA) held its 2nd Bonsai Exhibition and Competition from 1-6 of October in conjunction with the Carpenter Street’s Mooncake celebration in Kuching.
I know nothing about Bonsai, but decided to go check it out anyway. After all, eheheh I like everything that’s beautiful and it’s good for practicing my photograph skill.
(Above pix) Visitors were fascinated with the Bonsai exhibition.

According the SBA president, Johnson Jong, only 10 out of the 105 Bonsai are meant for display, the rest are meant for the competition. Three judges Mak, Chong and Ho from KL, Johor and Kuantan respectively were invited to Kuching particularly for this special event.
"Bonsai is a living art! The plant may live longer than a human being if you take good and proper care of them," said Mak.
(left pix) One of the judges asked me to try taking photograph from bottom up, so it makes the Bonsai looks like a giant tree, what do you think?
I, on the other hand, took my sweet time looking for some nice angles to take photographs. "Bonsai is a living art" as quoted from one of the judges, so I was lucky that morning to have a special guest of honour — butterfly, to be my model to add some liveliness to my photograph!

The last pic is too small, can’t really see what’s with it
